Green Homes Grant


Homeowners and landlords in England can apply for a voucher towards the cost of installing energy efficient and low-carbon heating improvements to homes. The government will provide a voucher that covers up to two thirds of the cost of qualifying improvements to your home. The maximum value of the voucher is £5,000. You may be able to receive a higher level of subsidy if you are a homeowner and either you or a member of your household receives one of the qualifying means-tested benefits, covering 100% of the cost of the improvements. The maximum value of these voucher is £10,000.

This voucher can be used to install Air Source Heat Pumps.

Eligibility


To apply for the voucher, you must either:

  • — own your home (including park home owners, long-leaseholders and shared ownership)
  • — be a private or social landlord

Your property must be in England to be eligible for the scheme.

Landlords cannot apply for the low-income portion of the scheme.

New-build properties that have not previously been occupied are not eligible for the scheme.

How do I apply?


  • 1.  Use the Simple Energy Advice (SEA) website to check what energy efficiency or low carbon heat improvements can be made to your home.
  • 2.  Obtain quotes from an accredited tradespeople or business such as Aspen Renewables. Please call us on 01323 849955 for a quote
  • 3.  Apply for the voucher from the end of September 2020
